The presence of certain mold and mold spores in housing can result in mild to severe health effects in humans and can deteriorate the structure of the dwelling. Health effects can include, but are not limited to: asthma, allergy symptoms, watery eyes, sneezing, wheezing, difficulty breathing, sinus congestion, blurry vision, sore throat, dry cough, aches and pains, skin irritation, bleeding of the lungs, headaches, memory loss and fever. As humans vary greatly in the chemical make-up, so does the individual's reaction to mold exposure.
KEYSTONE INSPECTION SERVICE offers the following services for your further protection:
|
| Mold swab testing: |
This is generally performed if there is visible mold growth in one
or more areas of the structure. The results of the swab test will
determine if the mold - in that area only - is of a toxic or non-toxic
nature. More than one swab test may be necessary if mold is
found throughout the house.
$125 / per swab

Indoor/Outdoor Air Sampling Comparison |
This test is usually recommended if a visible condition exists in the
property that may indicate that water infiltration has occurred, or is
occurring. Although there are no visible signs of mold growth,
this condition is conducive to mold growth that could be present in
areas not readily visible e.g.: behind walls, ceiling tiles etc.

Moisture Intrusion Inspection for conditions conducive to mold growth. |
Molds require two things to thrive; moisture and a food
source. Our inspection of the property will identify areas
of potential moisture intrusion and report on
recommendations for control. If mold is uncovered, a
swab test or air sampling will be recommended.
